  • Smaller Fleet- Flexible with driver needs, able to customize runs for drivers
  • Compensation- Drivers paid 25- 26.5% of truck revenue. Average $1000-1400/wk.

Yard Jockey

Yard jockey will be responsible for moving transportation equipment around the facility in accordance with the loading, and maintenance, schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate the Yard Truck in a safe manner following all rules.
  • Stage empty trailers in their assigned dock doors in accordance with the loading schedule.
  • Provide the garage with any equipment (trailer and/or tractor) requested for maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the inspection of all equipment, reporting any damage found.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education

  • Must have Class “A” CDL license
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • General maintenance knowledge is a plus
  • Attention to detail is a must
